Trump’s Moves Forever Alter World’s Energy Markets

Interior Secretary Doug Burgum said on Monday that President Donald Trump’s actions have forever changed the world’s energy markets.

Burgum noted that Trump’s moves in global energy markets and military strikes against Iran are driving new geopolitical alignments, adding he is “not really that concerned at all” about the U.S. energy picture today.

“President Trump, when we take a look at the global factors that are going on here, and whether it’s the conflict in the Middle East or diplomatically, has brought alignment now with Arab countries that for forever were our adversaries,” Burgum stated.

The official said these developments will turn into new markets and business partners for the United States. “Now, they’re aligned, moving ahead with Abraham Accords and other initiatives. Great partnerships,” he added.

“Countries like Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates — specifically, the UAE has reportedly taken over 3,000 attacks from Iranian forces,” Burgum continued.

“The diplomacy in the Middle East has changed forever. The geopolitics of energy have changed forever,” he said.

On military matters, Burgum noted that President Trump “has won economically with the blockade. He’s won.”

However, Burgum warned Americans might not recognize these changes due to reporting from some major media outlets. “There’s so much misinformation going on … being spread about what’s actually happening. All of us have to keep staying informed,” he added.

Burgum also praised the Trump administration for managing the World Cup on American soil, stating: “I think it’s easy to underappreciate the scope and scale of what President Trump is accomplishing every day. But if you take a look at FIFA, there were over six and a half million foreign visitors that came, leaving with an incredible new sense of appreciation for the abundance and creativity and innovation that exists here in America.”
