Castro’s Daughter Alina Fernandez Warns Young Americans Against Socialism’s Path to Communism

Alina Fernandez, daughter of late Cuban dictator Fidel Castro and a prominent anti-communism activist, stated that socialism serves as the first step toward communism and urged young Americans to study history before embracing socialist policies.

“My message is to discuss and have conversations about what they really know about socialism and communism,” Fernandez said. “As stated by Lenin himself, socialism is the first step to communism.”

Fernandez warned that supporters of socialist policies often overlook the historical consequences of communist movements and cautioned young people against being persuaded by what she described as softer rhetoric used to promote socialist ideas.

“Don’t get fooled by the changing words or the softness of the words in advocating for democracy,” she added. “What they’re doing is a very precise agenda that has been a long time in the making.”

She argued that political indoctrination begins in schools and encouraged students to examine what they are being taught. “They receive these instructions or this indoctrination already in the schools,” Fernandez said. “That’s where you need to start watching what you’re learning in school. Then think for yourself.”

Fernandez emphasized that history should serve as a warning against adopting socialist or communist systems. “Advocating for something that has obviously failed so badly in so many countries and has cost so many millions of lives is definitely wrong,” she said.

Later, Fernandez noted that the rise of democratic socialism in American politics reflects decades of ideological organizing. “It’s been a long time in the making,” she explained. “Since the ’60s, it’s been indoctrinating people and getting people to their side. It’s very well paid, very well organized.”

She further stated that history shows such movements often become violent and seek to undermine democratic institutions. “These people are violent. These people take the streets. These people insult you until you get scared,” Fernandez said. “The purpose is to destabilize the country. It’s a very anti-American agenda.”

Fernandez also warned that charismatic political figures can make radical ideologies more appealing. “Charisma is the most dangerous attribute in politics,” she added. “Schools and universities are the preferred place of recruitment for these kinds of people willing to work for the Communist Party.”
