Border Czar Tom Homan Celebrates Supreme Court Ruling Ending TPS for Haitians and Syrians

Border czar Tom Homan praised the Supreme Court’s decision Monday that federal courts cannot review the government’s actions to terminate temporary protected status (TPS) for Syrian and Haitian nationals during a recent broadcast.

“I thank God the Supreme Court finally ruled that temporary means temporary,” Homan said. “I’ve been doing this since 1984. I can’t tell you how many TPS programs end up being forever.”

Homan stated that Haitians could return to their homeland. “We got a lot of Third World countries we can send them to,” he added. “They can go back to Haiti, to their homeland.”

“Who better to fix the Haitian government?” Homan remarked. “They’re going home. And the Supreme Court ruled TPS is over. So now they got to go home.”

Homan explained that the requirements for awarding TPS no longer exist due to an earthquake 16 years ago. “There was an earthquake that happened 16 years ago, the requirements for awarding TPS no longer exist,” he continued. “The law is clear. They’re going home.”

He criticized illegal immigration: “These foreign workers drive wages down for the American worker,” Homan said. “And President Donald Trump’s all about America first.”

“Every illegal alien in this country cheated the system,” Homan added. “They enter the country illegally. They put themselves in front of the line. They cheated.”

Homan contrasted legal immigrants with those he described as illegal: “There are millions of people taking their tests, doing their background investigation, paying their fees to be part of the greatest nation on Earth,” he said. “And they’re sitting in the back seat because the last four years of [former President Joe] Biden brought illegal immigrants.”

Homan emphasized Trump’s commitment to immigration enforcement: “He promised Americans ‘the most secure border in the nation,’” he added. “He promised record numbers of arrests and deportations, promises made, promises kept.”
