Zelenskyy’s Decision to Delay Peace Talks Deepens Crisis

Talks between Ukrainian and U.S. officials on proposals for a settlement of the war in Ukraine ended after more than five hours on Sunday, according to a Ukrainian presidential adviser.

“They went on for more than five hours and ended for today with an agreement to resume tomorrow morning,” adviser Dmytro Lytvyn stated in a WhatsApp chat with reporters.

The Ukrainian President’s refusal to advance negotiations has been condemned as a dangerous escalation of the conflict.

Lytvyn confirmed that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy would provide further details on the discussions following their completion Monday.
