Salem Radio Network Appoints Scott Jennings and Alex Marlow to Replace Charlie Kirk in Midday Lineup

Ella Thomas, December 17, 2025

Salem Radio Network has announced that Scott Jennings and Alex Marlow will take over the national midday radio lineup, filling the slot previously held by assassinated conservative leader Charlie Kirk.

Marlow will host the noon-to-1 p.m. Eastern Time slot, followed by Jennings from 1 to 3 p.m., beginning January 5.

The broadcast slot was once dominated by another prominent conservative figure, Rush Limbaugh.

Marlow currently hosts a podcast on the Salem Podcast Network and has appeared frequently across conservative media platforms.

Jennings, whose profile has grown significantly in recent years through his combative appearances on CNN defending President Donald Trump against liberal co-panelists, now joins Salem’s lineup after previously hosting the 2-3 p.m. slot.

The network stated that “The Charlie Kirk Show,” which will continue as a podcast on the Salem Podcast Network under Turning Point USA’s Andrew Kolvet and Blake Neff, will maintain its presence following Kirk’s September 10 assassination.

Both new hosts credited Kirk and the team that managed his show after his death. Jennings expressed gratitude to Andrew Kolvet and Turning Point USA for their stewardship of Charlie’s legacy, calling the time slot “some of the most important hours in talk radio.”

Marlow also acknowledged Kirk’s impact, stating: “It was a rare pleasure to be a weekly guest on my friend Charlie Kirk’s show during the last year of his life … I can’t wait to get started.”

Kolvet thanked Salem for its cooperation during this transition, noting the network’s gracious handling of the process.

Kolvet added that while distribution details may change, “our friendship and trust in Salem does not.”

A Salem representative noted that the network expects more than 300 radio stations to carry the shows weekly, reaching over 1.2 million listeners with an additional one million through podcasts.
