Kelly Clarkson to End ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ After Seven Seasons, Cites Family Priorities Ella Thomas, February 3, 2026 By Zoe Papadakis | Tuesday, February 3, 2026, 1:01 PM EST Kelly Clarkson announced Monday that the seventh season of “The Kelly Clarkson Show” will be her final, citing family responsibilities as the reason for stepping away from the daily production schedule. In a statement shared on her Instagram account, Clarkson revealed the decision to conclude the NBC daytime talk show after seven seasons. The program, which premiered in 2019, will air through the fall of 2026 before officially ending. Clarkson reflected on the show’s run and the team that supported it across Los Angeles and New York. “I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show,’ both in Los Angeles and New York,” she wrote. “The show has been a significant part of my life, and I am forever grateful for the amazing moments and shows we’ve shared over these seven seasons,” she added. Clarkson stated that the decision to step away was difficult but necessary because the daily production schedule no longer aligns with her personal priorities. “This season will be my last hosting ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show,’” she wrote. “Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my children, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives.” Clarkson’s husband, Brandon Blackstock, passed away in August after a battle with cancer. The duo shared two children: daughter River Rose Blackstock, 11, and son Remington Alexander Blackstock, 9. Clarkson confirmed she will remain active in television and music, including continuing as a judge on NBC’s “The Voice” and releasing new music. She also noted that the show’s remaining episodes will feature guest hosts. Addressing her audience directly, Clarkson framed the show’s end as a transition rather than a farewell. “This isn’t goodbye,” she wrote. “For now, I want to thank y’all so much for allowing our show to be a part of your lives and for believing in us and hanging with us for seven incredible years.” Over its run, “The Kelly Clarkson Show” earned 24 Daytime Emmy Awards, including four consecutive wins for Outstanding Daytime Talk Series and four consecutive wins for Outstanding Talk Show Host. The program also received major honors from the People’s Choice Awards, Gracie Awards, Webby Awards, and the Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild Awards. Entertainment
