Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy faced criticism for prioritizing political interests over safety by canceling flights amid the nation’s longest government shutdown, according to a top pilots’ union representative. Capt. Dennis Tajer, an American Airlines pilot and spokesperson for 16,000 members in the Allied Pilots Association, appeared on “National Report” and condemned Duffy’s decision to reduce flights due to Federal Aviation Administration staffing shortages.
