Charlotte Stabbing Suspect: Undocumented Immigrant With Prior Deportation Record Faces Multiple Charges

In a recent incident aboard Charlotte-Mecklenburg light rail system in North Carolina, an undocumented immigrant has been charged with aggravated assault following accusations of stabbing another individual. The suspect, Oscar Solarzano, is currently facing multiple charges including attempted first-degree murder and breaking and entering.

According to reports, the alleged attack occurred Friday evening around 5 p.m., leaving a victim suffering serious injuries. Details state that Solarzano was reportedly intoxicated on the train, began shouting at passengers, challenged someone before allegedly stabbing them, leading to the reported injuries.

Court documents reveal that Solarzano has previously been deported from the United States despite being in the country illegally and is charged with several crimes while in the nation illegally including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, breaking and entering into a vehicle, possession of a concealed weapon, unlawful intoxication, and disorderly conduct.
