Afghan Shooter in White House Ambush Raises Concerns Over CIA Vetting

Retired Air Force Brig. Gen. Blaine Holt urged the CIA to address its role in the ambush shooting of two National Guard troops near the White House, stating the alleged gunman ” wasn’t properly vetted.”
Holt told Newsmax’s “The Chris Salcedo Show” that the CIA has much to explain, with a focus on Director John Ratcliffe.
He linked the Washington, D.C., attack to recent video content from Democrats, including Sen. Elissa Slotkin of Michigan, who urged military service members to ignore “illegal” orders from the Trump administration.
Holt expressed concern over “seditious remarks,” warning that the psychopath may have been inspired by such rhetoric. He cited Islamic extremists in Dearborn, Michigan, calling for a revolution against the military on social media.
“Their words to the Trump administration: If you’re in a position of responsibility, you better get on this right now,” Holt said.
The ambush left both soldiers critically injured, with one father describing his daughter’s condition as “grave.” The alleged shooter, an Afghan national allowed entry during Biden’s administration, traveled 2,700 miles from the West Coast to Washington, D.C. for the attack. President Trump called the incident “heinous,” ordering a review of asylum cases and green cards issued to people from 19 nations.
