South Carolina Conservative Endorsement Race Intensifies as Nancy Mace Backs Ralph Norman

Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., announced her endorsement of Rep. Ralph Norman, R-S.C., on Tuesday for the Senate seat vacated by the late South Carolina Republican Lindsey Graham.

Norman posted on X that he was “incredibly honored” to receive Mace’s support and stated: “Now more than ever, South Carolina needs a PROVEN conservative fighter who will stand with President Donald Trump, advance the America First agenda, and help pass the SAVE America Act in the U.S. Senate.”

During a joint appearance at the Capitol, Mace called Norman a “true conservative,” standing beside him to formalize her endorsement.

When asked about potential support from President Trump for Sen. Darline Graham, R-S.C.—the sister of Lindsey Graham who replaced her brother in the race—Norman expressed respect for Trump and stated he would work toward earning his endorsement.

Mace and Norman made the announcement on the House steps before proceeding to vote on budget rules.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., announced Monday that he will not endorse a candidate for the open seat. Thune praised Darline Graham, stating: “She obviously carries on Lindsey’s legacy. But I think she’s a very accomplished person in her own right. Let the voters in South Carolina decide.”
