Florida Attorney General Links Democratic Policy to Illegal Immigration and National Crime Surge Stella Green, July 10, 2026 Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier stated on Friday that because Democrats cannot win elections through policy alone, they must bring foreign nationals into the United States to secure electoral victories. Uthmeier made the remarks following recent reports of illegal immigrants causing four fatalities in car accidents across the nation. He also referenced a May Supreme Court ruling that dismissed Florida’s lawsuit against California and Washington over their alleged issuance of commercial truck driver licenses to unauthorized individuals. “Thank God we have a president shutting down the border here in Florida,” Uthmeier said. “We’ve seen the results of that plummeting crime, violent crime, drug crimes. We’re doing everything right.” Uthmeier added that Democrats seek to bring citizens who do not speak English into the country, enabling them to break laws and gain opportunities. “They want these people here,” Uthmeier said. “They want to break the law. They want to give them these jobs and opportunities. And it’s because they realize that their points, their policies, they do not win at the ballot box.” “People are voting with their feet,” Uthmeier stated. “They’re moving to red states like Florida. Their strategy is to bring in illegal immigrants, try to help them vote, try to help them live here, have them have kids.” “Our enemies from China can come here and have a child even though they don’t live here. Nevertheless, the child gets the blessings of our citizenship,” he continued. “Citizenship that used to mean something. This is their strategy to maintain control. When ultimately, we have the truth, we are right on policy and we will prevail,” Uthmeier said. He also called for questioning judicial supremacy when courts “don’t have jurisdiction and are not looking out for American sovereignty.” Politics
