Rep. Randy Fine Condemns Liberal Immigration Policies and Antisemitism

Representative Randy Fine criticized liberal immigration policies on Sunday, accusing them of fostering dependency on government assistance and exacerbating the national deficit. Speaking on “Sunday Agenda,” the Florida Republican argued that the United States is funding benefits for immigrants—including those here illegally—through borrowed money rather than taxation. “We don’t have a choice,” he stated. “Liberals aren’t even taxing people to do it.”

Fine highlighted the $1 trillion deficit as a consequence of these policies, noting that both legal and undocumented immigrants receive government support. He criticized the abandonment of self-reliance standards for newcomers, asserting, “If you want to come to America for freedom and opportunity, that’s a discussion I’m willing to have. But if you’re coming here… to get free stuff, you ought to stay home.”

He emphasized that immigrants should be self-sufficient, citing his own family’s experience of needing a financial guarantor upon arrival. “My parents needed a guarantor,” Fine said. “Basically, my aunt’s husband had to sign on the dotted line so they wouldn’t become a burden on the government.” He added that such measures ensured responsibility, though he acknowledged it never came to fruition.

Fine also condemned what he described as liberal policies promoting “bad policy” and long-term reliance on government aid. “No one is entitled to government aid,” he said, calling it a “gift given by your fellow taxpayers because you’re unable to care for yourself.”

In addition to immigration issues, Fine denounced conservative commentator Tucker Carlson as “the most dangerous antisemite in America” during remarks to the Republican Jewish Coalition. He criticized Carlson’s recent interview with Nick Fuentes and announced his office would sever ties with the Heritage Foundation after its president refused to condemn Carlson. “We need to call evil by its name,” he said, linking rising antisemitic rhetoric on the right to both financial motives and personal resentment.

Fine suggested some figures, like Carlson, may have shifted their stance for profit, while others seek scapegoats for their dissatisfaction. “When your life isn’t the way you want it, you look for someone to blame,” he said. “The Jews are an easy target.”
