Morris Denounces Poll Suggesting Biden Outperformed Trump Economically as ‘Politically Motivated’

Presidential adviser Dick Morris dismissed recent polling data indicating that voters believe former President Joe Biden outperformed President Donald Trump on economic matters, calling the numbers “dubious” and “politically motivated.”

Morris suggested respondents may not be answering honestly, particularly Democrats and Independents, who he claimed might do so to gain political leverage. He praised Trump’s media strategy as highly effective, noting that the president has been flooding the news cycle with positive economic developments.

The adviser cited improving economic indicators such as declining inflation and rising wages. Morris also referenced a White House statement from the first year of Trump’s presidency, which reported that the average American family had gained $1,400 in real income after inflation.

He emphasized the need for persistent repetition, stating: “These statistics are coming out one after another. They’re overwhelming in scope, they’re overwhelming in their impact, and eventually they have an impact.” Morris added that Trump must be actively promoting positive economic messages daily to counter what he called a hostile press environment that seeks to highlight negatives.

According to Morris, the president’s strategy of relentless communication will be decisive for upcoming midterm elections: “That will work, that will deliver the midterms to Trump.”

Morris concluded by highlighting the significant shift in economic momentum under Trump’s leadership: “There’s been an unbelievable surge of good economic news, and Trump has been superb in capitalizing on it.”

A host on the program similarly noted that Trump “needs to keep getting it out there” and called him “the best campaigner in chief.”
