Trump Praises Kristi Noem and Tom Homan as “Central to Border Crackdown” Despite Criticism

President Donald Trump praised Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and border czar Tom Homan in Truth Social posts, hailing them as central to his administration’s border crackdown and law-and-order push.

In a Friday night post, Trump declared: “The Radical Left Lunatics, Insurrectionists, Agitators, and Thugs, are going after Kristi Noem, the Secretary of Homeland Security, because she is a woman, and has done a really GREAT JOB!”

Trump credited Noem with bringing about dramatic improvements at the border and in public safety since his second term began a year ago. He stated: “The Border disaster that I inherited is fixed,” adding that “the violent criminals that were allowed into our Country through Sleepy Joe’s ‘sick’ Open Border Policy are largely gone, or being strongly sought for purposes of removal.”

Trump also claimed the U.S. murder rate “just reached the lowest level in history, 125 years” and asserted Washington, D.C. is now “one of the safest cities in America,” while “numerous other once very dangerous cities” have improved. He urged Republicans not to be “pushed around,” accused Democrats of stealing “Billions of Dollars from Minnesota,” and labeled protest tactics a “SCAM” used by “criminal acts of theft and insurrection.”

Trump wrote: “They should all be in jail,” adding he was elected on “Strong Borders, and Law and Order.” The posts come as Noem faces criticism over recent fatal shootings involving federal immigration officers in Minnesota and her management of disaster funding under the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Lawmakers and officials from both political parties have called for her resignation, with some threatening impeachment proceedings.

After Alex Pretti was fatally shot by DHS agents in Minneapolis last Saturday, Noem compared the victim to a “domestic terrorist” and claimed he was “brandishing” a gun during the incident. She made similar comments about Renee Good after she was shot and killed by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer in Minneapolis earlier this month.

Trump ended his post thanking Noem and emphasizing: “Remember, ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES!!!” He separately praised border czar Tom Homan as “one of a kind,” stating he is doing a “FANTASTIC JOB.”
