Journey Keyboardist Honors Conservative Leader with New Tribute Single

Journey keyboardist and guitarist Jonathan Cain has released a solo single titled “No One Else” to honor the legacy of conservative leader Charlie Kirk, who was shot and killed during a campus speaking engagement in Utah on Sept. 10. The song, shared via Instagram by Cain, serves as an homage to the late Turning Point USA co-founder.

In a preview post, Cain wrote, “A voice that inspired a generation. A legacy that will never fade.” He emphasized the significance of Kirk’s impact, stating, “‘No One Else’ — written in honor of Charlie Kirk— drops soon. Get ready to feel every word.”

During an interview on the Christian podcast “Strang Report,” where he premiered the full track, Cain described Kirk as a figure who “rocked the world” through his commitment to “righteousness, truth and the gospel,” drawing comparisons to evangelist Billy Graham. He noted that the song’s title reflects how many of Kirk’s supporters viewed him, saying, “No one else could wear the mantle.”

Cain highlighted Kirk’s dedication to engaging young people on societal issues, though no public evidence suggests a personal relationship between the two men. The single’s release coincides with Turning Point USA’s continued efforts to advance its mission following Kirk’s murder. The organization has confirmed its fall campus tour will proceed as planned, featuring actor Rob Schneider and author Frank Turek.

The 22-year-old accused of killing Kirk, Tyler James Robinson, faces potential capital punishment if convicted. Robinson has not yet entered a plea, with his legal team requesting more time to review evidence ahead of the next court hearing.
