Martha Stewart Condemns Trump’s Deportation Campaign After Granddaughter’s Urgent Plea

Lifestyle mogul Martha Stewart has spoken out against President Donald Trump’s ongoing deportation campaign, stating on social media that her granddaughter urged her to condemn the actions of Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents targeting migrants and protesters in Minneapolis.

The 84-year-old Stewart posted on Instagram a message from her 14-year-old granddaughter, Jude, who wrote: “I’m not sure it’s excusable to not be speaking up right now.”

In response, Stewart shared that she was “disheartened and sad each and every day” that immigrants—“which most of us are or descended from”—are labeled unwelcome. She emphasized that peaceful demonstrations face threats of violence, including attacks by Federal troops.

Stewart stated: “Things must and have to change quickly and peacefully.”

In the comments section of her post, Stewart received support from celebrities including Bravo’s Andy Cohen, content creator Sai De Silva, and designer Brian Atwood.

During the 2024 presidential campaign, Stewart endorsed Democratic candidate Kamala Harris over Trump.
