Trump Claims ‘Real’ Approval Rating Surges to 64% Amid Polling Dispute

President Donald Trump has asserted that his “real” job approval rating stands at 64%, dismissing mainstream polling as rigged by the media and pollsters.

In a recent Truth Social post, Trump accused the media and polling industry of conspiring against him, insisting Americans experience a stronger nation than official numbers suggest. He highlighted what he termed a “STRONG BORDER,” “No Inflation,” a “powerful Military,” and a “great Economy” as evidence of his leadership.

The post included an image from a Republican National Committee post showing Trump pointing with bold text declaring: “Over 50% of voters approve of President Trump.”

According to InsiderAdvantage, a poll conducted Dec. 19-20 among 800 likely voters showed 50% approve of Trump’s job performance, 41% disapprove, and 9% are undecided. Pollster Matt Towery attributed the rebound to recent events including Trump’s national speech and the latest Consumer Price Index report.

Towery noted that Trump’s approval rating had previously dipped to 44% in November before climbing again, with improvements across independent voters, younger demographics, and female voters. He also highlighted an unusually high number of undecided respondents, suggesting some independents remain uncertain about Trump’s accomplishments heading into the midterm cycle.

An AP-NORC poll released Dec. 11 found that eight in 10 Republicans approve of Trump’s handling of the presidency, reinforcing his centrality within the Republican base.

For Trump and his allies, the battle is not merely over approval numbers but over public trust, with their message emphasizing tangible results: border enforcement, economic relief, military strength, and a thriving economy.
