Sean Combs Transferred to Fort Dix for Remaining Sentence After Prostitution Conviction Ella Thomas, October 31, 2025 By Nicole Weatherholtz | Friday, 31 October 2025 09:50 AM EDT Sean “Diddy” Combs was transferred to Fort Dix this week to begin serving the remainder of his sentence after being convicted on prostitution-related charges earlier this year, according to reports. The disgraced rap mogul was moved on Thursday to the low-security federal prison in central New Jersey, where he will serve the rest of a 50-month term. Combs was sentenced to more than four years behind bars in October after a jury in Manhattan found him guilty in July of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. The rapper reportedly requested the transfer to Fort Dix to be closer to his family and to participate in its Residential Drug Abuse Program. He has been in federal custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since his arrest on Sept. 16, 2024, with the 13 months already served counting toward his sentence. Prison officials estimate Combs will serve around two and a half years at Fort Dix, barring additional credit for drug treatment program participation. He is scheduled to be released on May 8, 2028, after paying a $500,000 fine and undergoing five years of post-release supervision. The White House dismissed a report alleging President Donald Trump considered commuting Combs’ sentence, calling the claim “zero truth.” Earlier this month, Combs’ legal team filed an appeal seeking expedited review by a federal appeals court. Other high-profile inmates at Fort Dix have included former “Real Housewives of New Jersey” cast member Joe Giudice. Entertainment
