CNN Denies Banning Stephen Miller Despite White House’s Scheduling Assurance

CNN has denied reports that it banned White House official Stephen Miller, stating the network simply declined his offer to appear on a program.

Speaking to Fox News’ Sean Hannity on Wednesday, Miller said CNN refused to book him after the White House communications team contacted them, claiming he would be available at any time for discussion.

“The White House said, ‘Stephen is available to discuss any topic with any host at any time,’” Miller stated.

“From the first hour of air to the last hour of air on any subject, Stephen has no scheduling conflicts,” Miller added.

“And you know what? CNN’s response was, ‘We will not take him, period, on any show on any topic,’” Miller remarked, noting his history as a verbal combatant during the Trump administration.

CNN dismissed Miller’s claims in a statement to The New York Post, explaining that “as a news organization, we make editorial decisions about the stories we cover and when, and that depends on the news priorities of the day.”

The network also added: “We look forward to having Stephen on again in the future as the news warrants.”

According to Mediaite, Miller’s last appearance on CNN was on October 6, during a heated debate with anchor Boris Sanchez regarding the Trump administration’s ICE raids in Chicago.
