Israeli Sovereignty Concerns Spark Debate Over New UN Security Council Peace Plan

WASHINGTON – In recent developments, Israel has voiced strong opposition to a U.N. Security Council resolution approved with U.S. backing. Dubbed a “roadmap” for peace between Israelis and Palestinians, the measure ignited sharp debate from Jerusalem.

The Israeli government expressed profound concern over perceived violations of its fundamental interests.
