Terror Group Labelled ‘Tectonic Moment’ by Trump Official Stella Green, November 25, 2025 By Sam Barron | Tuesday, 25 November 2025 10:58 PM EST Sebastian Gorka, deputy assistant to President Donald Trump, described the decision to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization as a “tectonic moment,” stating that the group’s ideology is linked to all modern terrorist organizations. Gorka told Newsmax’s “Greg Kelly Reports” the group presents itself as a charity but is in fact a modern jihadi organization with ties to al-Qaida, ISIS, and Hamas. He emphasized the group’s goal of creating a global caliphate where every human must be a Muslim or face death. Gorka said the executive order should have been implemented immediately after the Sept. 11 attacks but was delayed by previous administrations. He criticized former presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden for being “cowards” who hated America, adding that political correctness prevented them from confronting jihadist ideologies. Gorka claimed opponents of such actions were labeled as “Islamophobe” or “racist,” despite Islam not being a race. He argued the issue relates to the constitutional order of the United States and its freedoms. The Muslim Brotherhood, an Islamist movement founded in Egypt almost a century ago with global chapters, has been accused by critics of fueling extremism and destabilizing the Middle East. Gorka said the decision reflects the courage of the current administration to act against such threats.
